Used to be a nice place - no longer

I regret that after 10 years of having wonderful experiences here, we will not be returning. We always rent 4 of the 9 cabins available for a mini-family reunion. This year it became obvious this place has gone downhill fast. Soon after we got to our cabins we found a bag of marijuana in our cabin that either was dropped by the cleaning lady or the people who stayed there before us. We promptly called the sheriff's dept. to report it. Then we found out that one cabin has been rented to a group that was hosting a family party that ranged from 50-70 people everyday of the weekend. We thought the cabins and the little 1/2 acre they sit on were for the use of those staying in the cabins - not every friend and family member within 100 miles. These folks took our picnic tables, fought, used loud, foul language, and played loud thumping car music throughout their stay. I suppose having nine cabins available, there is the possibility that there could be 450+ guests in the little 1/2 acre area if everyone with a cabin gets to invite 50 people for the whole weekend. To top it off, the lady running the office/shop was very rude and unprofessional. They will nickel and dime you for everything. Also, they charge you for an EXTRA adult in the cabin if your kids are 13 or older. This used to be a wonderful getaway which is why we have come year-after-year for over 10 years. Now it is a ghetto tourist trap.

We stayed in a Cabin.
