| Quiet, convenient to I-90. | |
Easy access off I-90. The driveway in is a bit steep and a lot rough but doable for our 37' fiver. We had a pull-thru site right next to the pavilion/bath house and there were some guys hanging around there when we got to our campsite which made me a bit uneasy. However, soon found they were there for some Lake Erie fishing trips and were staying in the dorm-like rooms in the bath house section of the pavilion. Bathrooms were clean but small (3 showers/1 toilet on women's side) and could use a little updating. They are locked at night but you get a key when you check in. The creek was low in August; it seems their good fishing season is fall through spring. You can purchase PA fishing licenses and all your fishing gear at the store which is geared more for fishing than camping.
