We came to this park from Lake Tahoe. Our GPS routed us through Auborn and then on Highway 49. Highway 49 is a two lane, narrow road that goes over a mountain. There are many narrow switch backs and low overgrown trees over the road. I was in a 43 foot fifth wheel and it was a challenge not to scrape the side of the mountain on some of the right turns. The "Local Directions" in the OVERVIEW suggest taking Hwy 49, but I would avoid it if you have anything over 25 feet long. The campground is quiet with large shade trees and camp sites. The sites aren't too level but nothing a couple blocks under the tires couldn't fix. The store and amenities are adequate. We spent four days here and it worked out well.

We stayed here in a 5th Wheel.
