| Older Park With Clean Facilities - Good Base for Visiting Red Rock Country | |
This is a very large resort with multiple sections. We stayed in section B close to the hot tub and swimming pool at a full hookup gravel site. The sites services worked well. Our site like most in this section had a slight slope that could be fixed with a leveller. Each site was long enough to fit the RV and a car and came with a picnic table. However, the sites were too close together for my liking with no privacy on one side, and only a little on the other. There was no fire allowed at the campsite.
There is no WiFi from the sites only at the recreation halls, but AT&T worked well from the RV. The resort has two recreation halls with sofas, large TVs and board games, one between section A and B and one in section H. It also has a large outdoor heated pool and an outdoor hot tub. There was a playground for older children, volleyball court, mini-golf (in good condition), homestyle grill restaurant, store, horseshoe pits and pickleball courts. There is a laundry with 8 washers and a number of dryers located in section H.
The facilities were old looking but clean and well kept. Everyone was very nice. The only issue I had was the speed limit, 10 mph between sections and 5 mph in the sections. Because the resort was so large it would take 10 mins to drive out of it.
The resort is close to Cottonwood in the desert and very quiet. It was a great base to visit Red Rock Country. It is a 30 min drive to Sedona.
We stayed here in a Class C Motorhome. | | Comments (0) |

This was a nice RV park, as those places go, but I would hardly consider it a "resort." The sites were a bit larger than some we have stayed at, especially in Arizona, but you are back to back with your neighbor. Better keep your shutters closed on the backside of your RV. We traveled with our two Siberian Huskies and one of them was particularly excited to have grass to roll in as opposed to all the pea gravel we found at the other places. Staff was friendly and helpful. As for the facilities, they were too spread out on the grounds to be accessible without having to walk quite a ways or drive. When I needed to do laundry, I opted to drive into town as their laundry required you purchase a $5 voucher just to begin using the washers and dryers and then it was increased by a minimum of $5 increments. I prefer doing it $.25 at a time. The roads in the park could use some grading.
We stayed here in a Travel Trailer. | | Comments (0) |

| Beautiful, well-maintained RV resort | Alex B Silver December 23, 2011 |
Verde Valley is a family favorite. My husband and my boys love it here, especially in the fall when there's not a lot of people around and we practically have the park to ourselves. The sites are large with full hookups available. For sites in the interior, the hookups are in between sites. There's wi-fi but no cable TV. The restrooms, bathrooms and laundry room are all clean. There's a walking trail alongside the Verde River in addition to the nature trails within the campground itself. There are also recreation facilities like the volleyball court, table tennis, pickleball courts and the pool, although the pool is usually closed this time of the year. It's quiet and peaceful here, great for getting away from the city and reconnecting with nature.
We stayed here in a 5th Wheel. | | Comments (0) |
