| Expect unusual visitors to your site | | Written by Kevin M on January 4, 2012 |
Orlando Thousand Trails is a pretty RV park with well-maintained grounds and clean facilities. Roads are smooth and paved, sites are adequately spaced though placed close together. The sites are grassy, though, and some have lots of shade. I expect some mud here on rainy days. Laundry rooms and bathrooms are clean, even though you've got to pay extra to do your laundry. Nice pools by the clubhouse but they're unheated. Wi-fi was okay. What made our stay interesting is how animals are allowed to roam free in this campground. We found a turtle at our site at one time, and there's a lot of birds around. Make sure you reserve way ahead of time.

| Thousand Trails winter haven. | | Written by William on June 13, 2010 |
This is a Thousand Trails campground where reservations are required way in advance during the winter snow-bird season. We stayed here twice in 2010 (March and May). This a large campground with sites that accommodate any size RV. The adult pool was just re-done, and there are lots of things to keep you busy like pickleball, horseshoes, an activities center and walking trails. The lake is beautiful. The staff is very helpful and friendly if you have a question or problem.
