UPDATE only

6/6/2015 - Long Beach Carefree RV Resort - My daughter, her friends & her soldier boyfriend were turned away from checking in because there was no "adult = 21+" in their group! The reservation was made accordingly and deposit paid. The listing ONLY ask for number of adults over the age of 18. NOWHERE does it ask for over 21. There is nowhere on the webpage that I could find that states this policy. After calling and speaking to a friendly person (not the manager, who is conveniently out of contact now) she could offer no proof in writing of this policy nor could she help us any. Extremely unhappy with this resort & lack of posting policies! Now there are 5 young adults with no place to stay!

Since, have spoken to the manager Barbara. She has contacted the IT department who will post policies that states must be over the age of 23 to reserve and stay. She stated that it was a state policy not to rent to under the age of 21 for hotels; I did point out that they were not a hotel...I am total agreement to a policy BUT it should be clearly posted/stated and then none of this would be happening!

While looking for places for the young adults to stay, all places stated the fact of being over 21. This place did not hence the reservation was made.

The price reflects Passport America rate. However, it is a bait-and-switch type of operation. When I called in our reservation, I was told we would have a 30amp site but when we got there, we were charged $4 extra per night for a 50amp site even though we just use 30amps. Their website also advertises FULL hookups but all you get is electric & water. On the plus side: even though the camp roads seem to go every-which-way and the campground has a lot of trees, we had no problem with our 40' fifth-wheel rig. Our site was averaged-sized with room for our rig with the truck parked alongside it. There seems to be a lot of activities to keep kids occupied: a nice little mini-golf course; pool; playground. Store was nicely stocked. Wi-Fi wasn't working when we were there but it didn't matter because it wasn't free and I wasn't about to pay $5/day. My Verizon card worked well although a little on the slow side. We would stay here again.

We stayed here in a Travel Trailer 5th Wheel.
