| Great campground for family holiday | | Written by CampingWife on December 1, 2011 |
The grounds are pristine and well-maintained. The same goes for the bathhouse. The pull-through sites face the Guadalupe River and they're all large and widely spaced apart for breathing room and privacy. The wi-fi works well enough. Fishing in the river is excellent and there's tube rentals, too. You can tube along the river and a shuttle will pick you up to take you back for free. Most of all, the staff are all friendly and welcoming. They've made us feel right at home. The only reason I didn't give this a perfect score is because they don't have cable TV and we can't get TV reception with our antenna either. Otherwise, it's a perfect place for a holiday.

| for the young, not the young at heart | | Written by donejen on July 15, 2010 |
This area is on the water where everybody goes tubing. I'm gonna say unless you're a "partier" over 50 might not like it too much. It was kinda loud sometime and people were getting loaded like young ones do sometimes. I liked that we could tube and drink and eat and there were toilets cuz i'm too old to dig a hole anymore. The area is great, really pretty and the river is up so that is good. There are stores and places to get something to eat right up the road. Not for rv's just for tents and mostly seemed like day trippers there. I did see too many kids with adults way too drunk to adequately supervise their activities but no one died that I know of. Been here before an acutally had to save a life of a drunk gal whole party left her behind. here's a tip -no tequilla on the river, makes you puke alot, especially after eating chilli cheese dogs all day long, just eat lightly and stay hidrated lots water in your body not just around u
