Check-in was easy. You can reserve the road but you choose the site when you arrive. After seeing the park, all sites are about equal. They are paved and mostly level. We did not have any WIFI access. The spaces are large without much shade. We were glad to have a sun wall to attach to our pop up sun shade. It is hot in August but there is a fairly constant breeze. The area is great with a lot to do for a family. We are close to everything. The state park also runs several very nice beach access areas on the strip along the beach. If you are a camper, you can use those areas at no cost. The beaches are beautiful and there are numerous areas to choose from. There is also access to a lake, with a swim area. The lake is mixed fresh and salt water, turning it red in some places. Mostly it is dark blue and beautiful. We also rode zip lines over the lake as one of the many things to do in the area.

We stayed here in a 5th Wheel.

We arrived here just after noon and it took 30 minutes to check in. I do not think the lady had any experience with the computer program used to keep track of sites. I had a reservation and she kept having to ask the other attendants how to do things. The park advertises wi-fi and there is a repeater across from us and we get a wi-fi icon but cannot log on. None of the other folks around us can log on either. I had to make a short trip into town to a hardware store for a repair part. There is a community fire ring across from us. Sitting around a big campfire is what camping is all about. It is very quiet here and there are no street lights to disturb the darkness. Being we are at the end of our road, we have little to no traffic. There are lots of bunnies running wild checking out all the camp site.

We stayed here in a 5th Wheel.

Large sites, short drive to everything and anything you'd like to do in Gulf Shores area. Some sites have nice shade trees. Nice pool area. We stay here every time we go down there. Best campground on the Alabama Coast in our opinion.

We stayed here in a Travel Trailer.

This is just such a beautiful park in an equally great location. Not that many permanent residents here. Sites are paved with cement and very spacious. Even with our large Motorhome, it still had enough space for one more vehicle. Each site had its own patio, picnic table and grill. Well shaded with lots of trees. Easy getting in and out the sites. Very close to the beach and restaurants.

We stayed here in a Class A Motorhome.
