Beautiful park, very pricey. Bureaucratic rangers

Pet-friendly, which is unusual for CA State Parks. $50 /night with no hookups. When we wanted to stay an extra day, they said that we would have to leave the park at noon and come back at 2 PM to see if there was a space available when they knew by 8 AM what spaces were not reserved.

We stayed here in a 5th Wheel.

Short walk to the beach and Pacific Ocean. Sites are large and adequately spaced from each other. Close to Capitola and Santa Cruz. Bath and showers are adequate. Just a fine park to enjoy life.

We stayed here in a Class C Motorhome.

We stayed in Sunset SB in Watsonville and weren't very impressed, but New Brighton was beautiful. Much easier to get to the beach here, and our site was huge. Bathrooms were pretty gross unfortunately but the showers were superior to Sunset's. And you can't beat the proximity to Capitola Village.

We stayed here in a Tent.
