| Calling this Campground a "Resort" is an Overstatement | |
Located about 2 miles north of Connecticut I-95 Exit 90, this campground was recently purchased by Sun RV Resorts. The campground office is in a trailer while a new building is being constructed. The swimming pool was torn up and was not open during our visit May 31-June 2, 2013. The campground, which is just 2.6 miles from the Mystic Aquarium, 3 miles from Mystic Seaport and 13.3 miles from Misquamicut Beach, RI, has about 130 sites. Half of them have some shade, including 23 pull-through sites that are big enough to accommodate any vehicle and toad that would be legal on the highway. There are several dump stations, but no campsites have sewer connections. The majority of sites have electric, water and cable TV hookups. Wi-Fi is an extra charge. Bathrooms were clean and reasonably modern. All sites were level, clean and equipped with a fire ring and new picnic table. The threads on the water supply faucet at our campsite were so badly damaged that we could not connect our hose. Fortunately our camping neighbor had a "Y" connector on his faucet and graciously allowed us to connect to it. Our request to have our faucet replaced was ignored. There is no entrance gate and little apparent security. There is little to do at Seaport Campground. Its biggest attraction is easy access from I-95 and its proximity to the area's tourist attractions. The price seems to be high for what is offered. Wi-Fi should be included.

overall we enjoyed our stay here. although there was not much to do there was a nice swimming pool which we spent a lot of time in. the views were nice and the area was very calm. overall we had a decent time for relaxation.

| Nice, quiet park local to Mystic area | |
I found the RV park to be very quiet and in a great location. There appeared to be no planned activities, though I stayed during the week. There is a clean pool with chairs and a few umbrellas. It has a pet area and is pet-friendly. My site was great--a nice size, hookups, fire pit, table and a couple trees. I plan to return.
