Absolutely beautiful. We drove 4 hours on word-of-mouth and it was worth it. No disappointments here. Wolf Creek runs through the campground, adding the pleasant sound of rushing water to the breathtaking beauty of Blood Mountain. Make reservations, this is a well-loved campground.

This is one of our favorite Georgia State Parks. It's laced with creeks so that many of the sites back up to at least one. Lots of wet fun for everyone. Like most GA parks there are playgrounds, a lake beach front, mini golf, playgrounds, etc. The trails are lovely and there's GA Parks Geocaching Challenge to take on. We love the field next to the playground where all the kids gather to play. This is a popular park so plan ahead during peak season. Sites have fire pits and they've added hibachis since our last visit. Don't miss the falls at the far end of the lake -- it's an easy walk. Enjoy!

We stayed here in a Tent.

Fav GA mountain CG

Vogel State Park is one of the oldest parks in GA but it is one of our favorites. It is very wooded with fairly flat sites and has a beautiful lake and view. Since it is a state park, it only has electric and water hookups but the bathhouses are pretty clean (one of the bathhouses has the timed water where you press the water nozzle and it stays on for only 30 secs at a time which can be annoying when trying to wash your hair). There are creeks running through the CG with rocks that the kids love to play in. They have putt-putt golf, a swimming beach at the lake, a hiking trail around the lake, etc. There is antique shopping in the area as well as some beautiful waterfalls and mountain rides with great views. Grocery stores are within 15 mi
