Fort Mountain is a great State Park with a nice campground, outstanding hiking trails, a beach and mini-golf.

The campground is divided into two different areas. I would say the good sites far outweigh the bad sites.

All staff, especially the volunteer hosts, were incredibly nice and helpful. Campers were all respectful of one another. This campground would make for a nice family outing.

I stayed at Fort Mountain in a tent, and now that I have a pop-up I can't wait to get it up to this great getaway.

We stayed here in a Tent.

I might be biased from working here several years in my teens, but this is a great place to camp. Some sites are lakeside as well if that's what you like. Nice bathrooms w/showers, Laundry and Dump Station. Most of the campsites are shaded, a few walkup sites but most are RV friendly.

Small beach swimming area and paddleboat rental. LOTS of trails, one of which is 8.2 miles long. Website says they have stables and horse rental now but that was after my time so no idea how nice that is.

We stayed here in a Tent.
