Lovely & relaxed!

We found this park by pure coincidence, we were out looking for a nice lake to do some bass fishing... Although there are no fish in any of the lakes the place was really great & relaxed. We hung out at the beach, walked some trails & just hung out... Certainly a place we'd go back to stay longer than just a day!

Great place to stay if you want peace and quiet

This campground is three or so miles away from the main highway, making it a bit inaccessible, but it's perfect if you want to get away. No road noise and it's quiet inside the park as well. Sites are flat, roomy and well-spaced from each other. They aren't perfectly level but it wasn't a big deal. There's a picnic table and a fire ring in each site, and you can hike, bike and rent kayaks. Rangers were very friendly and the neighbors were pleasant. Full hookups but no wi-fi or cable. It's really a perfect place to stay if you want to get away from the city for a while.

We stayed here in a Class A Motorhome.

Pristine, isolated campground

This state park is located a bit off the main roads so it's not that accessible and a little far away from restaurants and shopping areas. The relative isolation though guaranteed a lot of peace and quiet, especially at night. The grounds are well-maintained and the bathrooms and showers are squeaky clean. Some sites are concrete and some are gravel but all are very roomy and surrounded by young trees. The rangers are very friendly and the Fishing at the lake was excellent for us. It would have been perfect if there was wi-fi but we didn't mind not having those at all.

We stayed here in a Tent.
