Enjoyed our visit to Sugar Loafin

Used tent site Q for a week in July. It was big enough for our pickup and trailer with two trikes. It was our base camp for amazing rides. Restrooms were always clean, hot water for shower was plentiful. Staff was great and applied unanticipated discounts. Nice location west of Leadville with very little traffic. Will visit again in the future.

We stayed here in a Tent.

I am only giving this park 4 stars because the spots with any kind of hookups are so tightly packed together. We booked a water and electric spot and we could hear our neighbors chatting over their meals. Our friends book a tent spot and they actually had more space than we did. Our neighbors were nice and friendly and we were all in tents or popups, the trees added shade to our spots and the facilities were scrubbed till they shined. Seriously the cleanest place we stayed all summer. There was no road noise at all and the campground was kept so dark that you could enjoy an amazing spectacle of stars after dark.

We stayed here in a Popup Trailer.

A rustic campground

Sugar Loafin is more of a rustic campground than it is an RV park. The sites are weed and gravel patches, but they can easily fit big rigs. Full hookups available but no wi-fi or cable TV. Cellphone signal and satellite TV reception is good, though, as long as you're not positioned under the trees. Speaking of trees, you have the choice of whether to park in the shadier area or out in the open. Lovely sights, Turquoise Lake is practically next door. The staff are all very friendly and it seems like this place is a family-owned park. We might come back here next year.

We stayed here in a Class A Motorhome.
