	Good location but overpriced and poorly maintained

29 Palms is probably the closest campground outside of Joshua Tree NP. It's very near Oasis Visitor Center. For that alone, it's sure to have a lot of guests. Still, the price is too much for the kind of service provided here. Absolutely no shade on the sites so the campground has the feel of a parking lot. They're not level. Full hookups available but wi-fi is non-existent even though they advertise wi-fi. The bathrooms weren't clean when we came to stay. Lots of seasonal residents, but many of them were friendly. Staff were welcoming when we checked in. Lots of road noise and artillery noise from the nearby marine base. It's good for short stays but next time I'll visit only when I don't have other options. We stayed here in a 5th Wheel.
