clean lots, and lots of hiking trails

All the RV lots are paved and some are handicap accessible, making it easy to set up and maneuver around. Water and electric sites are available, no full hookups although there is a dump-station and clean shower facilities. I would easily stay here again although the $10 entrance fee for out of state visitors (one time if camping) seems a bit high. Explore the various hiking trails as they are the gems of this park. The beach is nice but the view kinda takes the stars down from 5 to 4 as you see the smoke stacks from nearby Gary, IN. Would definitely stay here again.
We stayed here in a Travel Trailer.

horrible experience

Don't stay here. It's a pretty park with a pretty beach, but everything went wrong for us. $10 for non-res to enter park. Manager quoted us the weeknight price but it was Thursday and they charge the weekend price on Thurs ($9) difference. New girl at the gate so we sat in line for 20 min after a long day of driving to get a site. We were told full hook ups, but it is electric only. Next day we went to the beach but there were no lifeguards scheduled (on Friday in summer?) so they were not letting people in the water. Huge disappointment for my kids. We moved to the National Park campground right next door!
We stayed here in a Travel Trailer.
