Local Directions: Directions from the main entrance to the modern campground: From Solon take County Road F16 west out of town for 5 miles, when entering the park follow the signs to the campground. Directions to the Primitive campground: From Solon, take 5th St. west out of town for 3 miles. As you enter the park follow the sign to the campground.

Came back after about 15 years. The place hasn't changed a bit! It's a nice, wooded campground with mostly electric sites. Can get a bit noisy, especially on weekends. Campsites are gravel / mud if it's wet. Good tasting water. Shower building is dirty. Nice trails. My favorite takes you from the campground all the way along the lake to the beach. There's also another nice running trail that follows the lake all the way to Solon, about a 5 mile trip. 10 hp maximum boat size makes the lake great for fishing and canoeing.
