Under Renovation

We stayed in one of the two cabins on the lake in Aug 2016. The lake was completely covered in algae. It is undergoing renovation. I am told that the renovation is about 70% done (Feb 2017). The rest of the grounds are very nicely maintained. It is really in an isolated area. And yes, you can only get wood by going to the brush pile, cutting it yourself with a saw that the office will lend you. The stars on a clear night there are just amazing. We did a lot of driving in the area. Simply beautiful. The National Forest is about 45 minutes northwest and Calamus Reservoir is about 45 minutes northeast.

We stayed here in a Cabin.

Nice quiet campground

Beautifully quiet campground in central Nebraska. No cement pads, but the shower house is nice and not a quarter machine type. No, swimming area, but a nice playground is available for the kiddies. No wood for sale, but the very nice curator there lent us a saw and directed us to their huge wood pile. He also pulled us out of the mud when we got rained out.

We stayed here in a Tent.
