At this park you do not have 50 amp service, cell service, OTA TV, or wifi, but you do have camping, picnicking, hiking, river swimming, tubing, wading, mountain biking, fishing, bird watching, and horseback riding. Most campsites are rather short and/or narrow, but some can accommodate larger rigs.
Be sure not to miss the beach area, bird blind, and the falls themselves.

Camping sites ranged in size and in tree coverage. The sites more in the open usually had a cover over the picnic table. The campground isn't right on the river but access is only a short drive and then hike down. There are lantern hooks, water, electricity, fire pits and tables at every site. The showers and restrooms were clean. The are some great hikes at this park and the river and the falls were fun. There is also an awesome bird blind where you can sit and watch all kinds of birds dart about. The camp host sold wood and ice. We had a great time and would camp here again happily.
We stayed here in a Tent. | | Comments (1) |

| great place for tent camping | cr1315 Newbie December 21, 2009 |
It was a bit cold for Texas but it was January. Tent sites had ample space for pitching a few tents. Lots of great hiking, but beware of the potential for flash flooding if you hike up at the falls. 5 minutes could mean completely different water conditions. | | Comments (0) |
