RV Interior Design
I'm looking for ideas on how to make my camper more "homey". Anyone have ideas, like interior design ideas? Or simple ideas?

Re: RV Interior Design
My wife put decals on cupboard fronts and changed kitchen curtain to match.
I always put out some decorations to make our site ours. Two Kokopelis hang on the front, a hanger with a greeting on the kitchen slide, some solar-powered lights, etc.
We replaced the couch with a second recliner for greater comfort for my wife.
We replaced one dining bench seat with a standard office chair to make it more comfortable for my wife, who uses the dining table for computer, craft projects, etc.
I made a custom desk that fits over the engine hump in our Class A motorhome so I can set up my computer there and use the passenger seat rotated 90 degrees to sit.
Removed the large framed print that came with the unit in the dining area and replaced it with a fabric-covered cork board to post photos, etc.
There is a cloth-covered strip above dining-couch area and we have lapel pins from places we have stayed stuck in lines across there. Great souvenir idea for people living in RVs since we cannot collect larger souvenirs.
Lots of other small things as well.

Re: RV Interior Design
If you have that ugly jack knife sofa in your motorhome, get rid of it and replace it with cushioned chairs instead. It will help open up the area, making it more inviting. If the sofa was lodged in between cabinets like ours was, replacing it with chairs brings attention to them, too. We replaced the dark wood panels in our cabinets with lighter colored ones. They also give the illusion of space and not make things cramped up.

Re: RV Interior Design
We fell in love with this cabin we stayed in when we had a trip to Tahoe so when we got our RV, we wanted to make it have that same feel. For the windows, we used plaid valances. We had our sofa and chairs upholstered with a soft leather fabric. For the bedroom, we use plaid beddings. We use fishing and wooden figurines of animals to decorate the inside. We also found this really cool wallpaper with a dark woodgrain design and used this inside the RV.

Nice! There is really something about log cabins that give it this romantic and cozy feel, doesn't it? Our trailer has been a bit bare...too bare for my taste. I'm going to see if I can get to convince my husband if I can do a little bit of decorating here.
