Route 66 Tour
I've recently heard about the Route 66 Tour and I'm thinking about taking my family on it. Has anyone tried this? We really don't have any agenda fixed yet other than we're planning to do this during the summer vacation since our eldest will still be in school. Any info or feedback is highly appreciated.

Re: Route 66 Tour
I'm going to do this myself next year or so. There is a book called "United States on the Road" put out by the Discovery Channel. (Barnes and Noble book store or Amazon) This book shows different routes around the country including Route 66.

Make sure to take some time to visit Sedona when you get to the stretches that go through Arizona. Really nice scenic drive.

Re: Route 66 Tour
My husband and I tried it and we really enjoyed it. So many things to see: Cadillac Ranch, the leaning water tower, Jack Rabbit, the meteor crater, the first Philips 66 gas station, the barbed wire museum, etc. Took over 1,000 pictures throughout our west to east trip on Route 66.
