Safe to Bleach Water Heater Lines?
Is it possible to use bleach to clean my water heater lines? Any suggestions on how to do this?

Re: Safe to Bleach Water Heater Lines?
Not only is it possible, but a MUST. Bleach helps to clean and sanitize your entire water lines and help keep the bacteria away.

I agree with Alban. The higher temperatures within these water lines can definitely encourage bacteria and other nasty stuff to grow, and that can really be problematic later on.

We do that at least once a month. My husband would always let the bleach stand overnight before running it through the water heater lines.
