Mouse Attack
Instead of buying a new camper, a friend of mine decided to restore a 70's motorhome that he found in his parents' property. It's still in pretty good shape, except for the mice infestation.

We've tried everything: soap, mothballs, traps, you name it, we've tried it. We were able to catch a lot but they seem to still keep coming.

We're at our wits end. Anyone have some more tips how to get rid of them? I've tried talking to my friend to just buy a newer one, but he won't hear any of it.

Wow! Talk about determination and persistence. Gotta admire your friend for that.

First off, check for any cracks and openings throughout the old RV. It could be that the reason why there is a never ending stream of mice coming in is because those mice from the outside are able to make their way in. Once you do that and sealed off any cracks then you can try again.

I heard that mothballs are a poor mice repellant since they don't last that long. You can use paraffin wax instead. For some reason, mice love munching on them. But because it's wax, it will eventually clog up their digestive system and kill them.

If the camper is in a field, on a lawn or in the woods, get it out of there and throw a mean cat inside and watch the fur fly.

I agree with murffdog. Get it out of the field first or wherever the camper is located. That way, you can get it away from where the mice may be coming from the inside. Seal off any cracks so that it will prevent any mice from outside coming in. Then you can try again.
