Hi Everybody, This is my first post, but I wanted to share something I've learned. It's such a simple, obvious thing, but helps SO much when you're stuck cooking indoors in the heat of summer and your RV a/c just can't seem to keep up, what with 2 or 3 open flames going on your stove. I invested in an electric pressure cooker. Mine's a 6 qt Cuisinart(I plan on getting 1 more, for sure. Hopefully a bit smaller). No open flame, and your food cooks in half the time(actually even less time than that). It helps SO much!! I'm from Cajun Country(HOT), and we tend to cook a lot of pot roasts and such that require hours, sometimes, to get tender. I absolutely LOVE my pressure cooker, and don't know how I managed these long Louisiana summers in our fifth-wheel without it lol. I used to dread having to fire up the stove, cause within 15 minutes it felt like a sauna in my kitchen. |
