Lighting pilot on water heater 
We have a Suburban sw6d water heater and we cannot figure out how to light it. We just bought our rv used and it had no manuals. thanks

It depends on the year, it may not have a pilot, it may be a DSI (Direct Spark Ignition), if you want to run it on propane, make sure the propane is turned on & the air is purged from the lines, if it is DSI, you will have a button on the control panel inside that says DSI, put it to that position & go outside & listen to the water heater, you should hear a low roaring sound, (if it lit).
If you wish to run it on electric, go outside, remove the cover from the water heater & look for a little black rocker switch, look hard as it may be slightly hidden behind the tube, make sure this is in the on position. put the cover back on. CAUTION: Before doing these step, make sure the tank is full of water, running the electric element without water in the tank WILL burn out the element.
