Arkansas Ozark Adventure Ideas

I'm looking to plan a tent camping trip to the Ozarks this summer. I'm looking for a place that offers plenty of hiking opportunity, possibly some kayaking, and white water rafting. It would be nice if it was near a small town with some cool places to eat, grab a drink, and do some shopping (my wife is a "picker"). We'll probably stay 5 nights, so we can move around campsites.

Can someone help?

Hi Chris,

While I haven't personally been to the Ozarks I did a search on this site looking for Arkansas campgrounds that had tent sites and offered nearby kayaking and hiking trails and it came back with 16 options. There is a map at the top of the results that shows their location that you can zoom in on and use to determine if they are near a small town. When I put in rafting as an option it didn't come back with any, so I guess that info is missing or none of the 16 offer that nearby. However, there are links to websites and phone numbers that you can use to explore more.

P.S. You need to use the Advanced Search on the campground page to get the 16 coming back with tenting, kayaking etc. - you need to be logged in too!
