Storing full or empty?
Hello to all,

I wondered what would be best to do?

If you know the camper won't be used for a few weeks, or maybe months, do you store the camper with a full fresh water tank or do you empty it? That's when you know it won't be freezing, ofcourse.

I think both have advantages, but to be honest: I don't have a clue.

I think:
* full because the inside tank surface is closed off from air and I think you need air to grow things in the tank?
* empty because otherwise the water will get "old" if you fill it?

What do you think?

We always drain the tanks after our trip and don't fill it up again until we're scheduled to go out on another trip.

Same here. I drain them all before storing them. Made the mistake of leaving it full before we stored it, and it was a chore to get it all cleaned up and ready for the next camping trip.

Empty. Some bacteria don't need air to grow. Not to mention it can ice up, especially during the winter season.

Empty tanks and re sanitize with chlorine when filling back up.
