Not a bad idea if ... you KNEW for SURE it would work; otherwise, you're only carrying all that pointless, extra weight just to piss a bear off. Because if it doesn't deter him away, he'll be ready to vent his anger and frustration.

Mister is right!

But there is an article on this website talking about it I think.
And it give tips, like not letting food out during the night....
