Workamping Positions in State Parks for One Month

My wife and I just realized that we will be getting a lot more time in our hands once our youngest son heads off for college this fall. We're thinking of using this time to try out a bit of workamping. Are there any state parks that offer workamping positions that only require one month of work? We just want to try it out and see if this is the type of retirement that will suit us.

State parks have state employees, you need a private or corporate campground.

Georgia State Parks use workcampers. Site and utilities are provided. Most are non-paying positions. They are called volunteers. Not sure if you can get a one month contract, I think most are 3 month.

Most state parks won't usually advertise workamping positions that last for just a month, but many would be happy to accept if you call and ask them. Most of these tend to be just volunteer positions, though, not paid positions. They'd usually require longer stays for paid positions.

You can try to contact the state parks in Oregon. My brother and his wife had their first experience there. But these are mostly volunteer positions, but it will definitely give you some idea on what's workamping is like and see if it's what you'd like to do.

Oregon State Parks do.
In fact my first experience will be with them this summer.
I think you will find that most paid positions ask for a summer commitment. Whereas volunteer positions are for one month, maybe longer if you are interested
