New Camera Suggestions
I've been thinking about buying a new camera to bring with me during my camping and hiking trips. I currently have an old Canon T50 with all the lenses and filters and stuff. I'm really looking for a model where I can, hopefully, use my filters and lenses too. Also, I need one that can take really good pictures even when shaking (I have really nasty hand tremors). I know that tripods can help deal with that, but I just don't have the patience to set it up to take pictures.

Re: New Camera Suggestions
Sorry to say but your new lenses won't do you much good with the new cameras that are coming out now. You can still use it, but you won't really be able to tap into the full potential of most cameras out these days. For one thing, the body that you mentioned does not have any auto focus, so chances are the lenses you have do not have an auto focus feature, which will definitely come in handy.

Re: New Camera Suggestions
I'm not really sure if the lenses will still fit the body of the new cameras that are coming out these days. Best bet is to sell the entire thing and then just start from scratch. I'd recommend getting the Canon 60D. Pretty okay and nifty. You'll pretty much enjoy it, especially since you already got a lot of experience with the film SLRs. In addition to getting the lenses and filters, I would suggest that you get a separate flash. The built-in one is a bit too bright even with a diffuser, at least in my opinion.

Not sure about the size if they would be the same. There are some converters that you can buy that can solve that. Thing is, like what josh mentioned, you won't really get the full potential of your DSLR with a SLR lens given how much they've changed over the years.

Re: New Camera Suggestions
With some issues like yours, I got rid of an older Kodak and bought a Nikon COOLPIX S9100 which after getting used too takes great pictures. Amazon has great prices on Nikons.
