Popup Campers Not Allowed????
We went to this campground with some friends one weekend. One of them owns a really nice 2010 Jayco 1206 popup camper. Imagine our shock (and embarrassment) when we got there and the campground manager told us that all of us, except our friend with the popup can stay because they have don't allow popup trailers in their campground. Thankfully, we found a campground that was willing to accommodate all of us there, even our friend with a popup camper.

I have to wonder now if this is even legal? Any chance to appeal this?

Sorry to hear about that. We also own a popup camper and so far, we have had no experienced being turned away by a campground just because of the kind of camper that we have. True, we look a bit of out of place especially when we are surrounded by those really classy and huge trailers and motorhomes. But other than that, no problem whatsoever.

Re: Popup Campers Not Allowed????
Sorry to hear that, henry. Unfortunately, there are campgrounds that have their own respective policies when it comes to the kinds of the RVs that they will allow. Some campgrounds really have policies that they only allow certain types of RVs in. Others base them on the years. In some cases, their reason is understandable. For example, there was one campground where we were turned away because our Motorhome was too large to fit into their sites. But there are some campgrounds that are just run by campground owners that are just plain snooty.

Whoah! That's shocking, henry. Never thought that there are campgrounds like that. So far, we've never experienced that yet, and hoping that that will not change.

Re: Popup Campers Not Allowed????
I guess it's legal for them to do that. No doubt you're not the first one to experience that sort of thing. I've heard that there are quite a lot of private campgrounds that have some unfriendly policies towards campers and RVers, and that's just one of them. I'm pretty sure that there are a lot of other frustrated campers and RVers that have already aired out those same complaints, but since they are still in business, I guess there is nothing really that you can do except to just stay clear from them and go with other campgrounds that are more accommodating.
