Hiking Poles?
Saw a friend of mine use these during one of our camping trips and saw how helpful it was. Planning to get a pair (or two) in time for our next camping trip. Any suggestions on what to look for when choosing them?

Pay extra attention to the locking mechanism of the hiking poles. I'd strongly suggest to get those that have a clamp mechanism to lock the poles. They are definitely more expensive than the twist-lock ones, but they are are a whole more reliable.

Go for anti-shock poles. They got internal springs that can be really helpful, especially if you got any injuries on your knees, ankles or hips.

I agree with the anti-shock poles. Choose those that have an adjusting mechanism so you could be able to regulate its shock absorption so that it doesn't add some unnecessary stress in your hands, wrists and arms while hiking.

Re: Hiking Poles?
First, where do you usually go hiking? Do you go more for the forest trails or those desert trails? These two kinds of trails will require different specs in the hiking poles to use. Whichever you choose, I would recommend to get a pair instead of the solo ones. They are more stable and would give you better balance and leverage than solo poles.
