Any suggestions doing this in an iPad? Having a similar problem, minus the lightning part. The internet connection just went bonkers and although we're able to get a signal, it's still giving us an error that we're not connected to the Internet.

Go to the general options in your settings and then go to networks. Click on the network name and then choose forget this network. It will delete it from its memory and then try logging again.
