Waterproofing Your Tent
I recently came across an article showing how to waterproof your tent so that it won't leak. I've been using a tent well before we got our trailer and this is definitely the first time I've heard it. I've never really saw the need to waterproof my tent before. Has anyone been doing this? How often do you do this? What do you use?

Re: Waterproofing Your Tent
Spent years tent camping, but never once did I waterproof my tent or found a need for me to do so. Most of the tents that are sold are already treated to be waterproof. For as long as you take good care of it, you won't really have the need to do that.

This is also the first time that I've heard about it. Then again, many of the tents that are being sold these days are not as durable as they were back in the day. Perhaps that's why you need to waterproof them now every now and then, JMO.

Apparently, all lightweight waterproof materials being sold these days need to be waterproofed every now and then, especially if you frequently go out and do tent camping. I have to agree with ej. They don't just make tents like they used to.

Re: Waterproofing Your Tent
I guess, I was just lucky when I got my tent five years back. Guess during that time, the quality of the tents were still good.
