Recommendations for first trip
Modified By FamilyCamper on 1/13/2013 8:20:34 AM)
Morning all!

After a years of planning and reading, we bought our first RV last fall. This will be our first season and we are excited. Despite all the reading and advanced preparation I have done, I know there will be a steep learning curve especially on our first trip. Does anyone have recommendations for a kid friendly site (I have a 4 and 2.5 yr old) that would also be good for our learning trip? I live near Annapolis, MD. Our trailer is a Rockwood 8317ss

Thanks for your advice!

Welcome to the forums, Family Camper!

I'd recommend the Jellystone Park there. Price-wise, it's a bit expensive compared to other campgrounds out there. But it's a nice place if you haven't got that much experience in camping yet, especially camping with little ones. They got a whole bunch of activities that will help you get the hang of camping and keeping the kids occupied and enjoy camping as well.

Thanks Georgito,

Jelllystone looks like a lot of fun. We are planning to check it out in late May. I have also booked some other trips to state parks (Elk Neck, Rocky Gap and Assateage).. We are looking to try a bunch of different types of sites / areas to see what we enjoy most. Thanks again for the recommendation!

Been to Jellystone a couple of times with the kids. Really great place if you want to go camping with kids for the first time.
