I agree. Just came from a camping trip with my buddies and did a little bit of fishing as well. We caught our dinner on the second night, and it was really swell!

One of the things I've always enjoyed is cooking over a campfire while camping. The most I'd go as far as making meals ahead of time is desert, especially if we're camping with kids. Other than that, I'd prepare them and cook them at the campsite.

I love aluminium foil - wrap stuff, cook and eat. No washing involved.

I agree! It's great to just dump it straight into the grill right away and get the grub all ready.

I used to use aluminum foil as well...until I realized on just how much trash we always end up dumping when our camping trip is over. I've since switched to using Lock and Lock when we go camping and have gone back to using a pan. Sure, we get to bring more with us, but we've considerably lessened our trash and also the amount we used to spend on aluminum foil, too.

Have been doing that, too. Aside from Lock and Lock, I've also been saving those plastic containers that they use for take away meals. They hold pretty well, too. I still use aluminum foil, usually for those prepared food that we've already marinated and ready to be grilled and for popcorn for the kids.
