Orlando to New York
We are on the last leg of our trip and wondering how long it typically takes to drive from Orlando to New York?

We don't want to do it non stop, rather at a more "reasonable" pace, about 5 - 6 hours of driving a day. Not planning to stop off to see things along the way, just want to push on through. Has anyone driven this I-95 route recently? Any idea how many days it could take?

Thanks in advance

Re: Orlando to New York
The trip in total is about 17 hours. So, if you did 6 hours per day you're looking at 3 days.

But there has been plenty of winter storms in the NorthEast, so be mindful that another snowstorm could delay you a bit. That said, there's little precipitation expected in the next 4 days so you should be alright.

Re: Orlando to New York
Thanks - got home safe and sound! We took about 2 days at a slower pace through Georgia, South Carolina and North Carolina, then drove one long stretch to New York. Had to navigate around the tunnels going past Washington DC and Baltimore, as no vehicles with gas tanks are allowed in them. Thank goodness we had GPS.

Hint for others for Washington DC take that I-95 to I-95/495 then short cut at Exit 2 north on the I-295 where you can connect up with the I-95 again. It shaves a bit of time. As for the Baltimore area, from the I-95 take the I-695 east over the Fancis Scott Bridge (beware - very windy!) and join up with the I-95 north again at exit 33.

Hope this helps others too.
