Trackrock - Blairsville, GA
We visited Trackrock CG a few years ago. It is a great place to visit in the Fall. They have full-hookup sites (including sewer and cable). The sites and roads into the campground are gravel and some can be a bit close together but overall it is nice. Most of the sites are wooded and overlook the mountains and pond. They have a fishing pond and a neat playground for the kids. They also have horse stables where you can take a guided ride for a fee. They also have hay rides in theFall, outdoor church on Sundays, and other events. The CG doesn't have online reservations and some times be hard to get on the phone. For reservations, you usually have to send a check via snail mail to reserve your spot. The CG is privately owned and the family is nice. The only thing that we were disappointed in was that we were interested in having a Fall group rally and they required a 3-4 nite stay for October - which seemed a little strict. There is lots to do in the area. A must visit is the old general store, Alexander's which is right on the road before you turn into the CG. The store has everything from staple groceries, shoes, fishing tackle, guns, clothing, and washing machines. It is much bigger than the store front appears. There are also waterfalls and hiking in the area if you are interested. There are also concerts in nearby Hiwassee and the GA Mtn Fair twice a year.
