RV Driving on the Blue Ridge Parkway
Anyone know how the driving is on the Blue Ridge from Gatlinburg to 19 into Cherokee?

The roads are great, the best time of year is Autumn when the leaves are changing. You can get your trailer or RV up and down no problem. But if you get on the side roads you might run into issues with steep grades.

Don't get in a hurry. Remember to lay off your brakes and let your transmission do the work.

Travel will be slow and many travelers will honk at you. The way that I look at it....they should have gotten up 10 minutes earlier. Then they would be ahead of you. LOL

Expect LOTS of traffic thru Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge.

Re: RV Driving on the Blue Ridge Parkway
I made this trip 4 weeks ago, spent a month on the road. Spent 1 week in Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge and traveled all over the Smoky Mtns with no problems at all. Over the Mtn into Maggie Valley and Cherokee with no honking horns or heavy traffic. Beautiful country.
