I love taking pictures while I'm on the road. It's not only a great way to document your trip for friends and family but Its also a great time to improve. There's always another interesting subject or landscape just around the corner.

I recently made the move from a 35mm film camera to a Digital SLR. I love the instant feed back, no waiting for pictures to develop.

What kind of camera do you use?

Anyone on Flickr??

Re: Photography
Guess Im still an old timer, I've been shooting with a 35mm Minolta for about 20 years now. I've been using it for so long I just can't put it down. Thought about getting a small digital camera once but I just love the way these old thick glass lenses look. You can't get that from most "point and shoot" digitals. The lenses aren't even made of glass, it's some cheap crystal stuff. Maybe Im a little bit nostalgic lol. I can also buy a second hand lens dirt cheap, especially compared to new digital SLR lens. I've seen them at Ritz, they cost more than my whole camera!! And good luck finding a used lens for those

I've been thinking about making a Flickr profile. I had a lot of my pictures from Savannah put on CD's instead of developing then all. Which is nice since I already have BOXES of photos! I'll have to post the link to my flickr profile once I get around to making it!!

Brian, what kind of digital SLR do you have?

Re: Photography
I agree with you on the old glass lenses! There's something unexplainable about them, the same way people say vinyl records sound better. I left my 35mm back in NC when I moved to NY. I have a Nikon D90 here. It's a great camera with tons of features I don't know how to use yet. I'm thinking about taking a class here in NY. I've pretty much been teaching myself up until this point. Savannah's not far from NC. Where did you visit in Georgia?

Re: Photography
Oh nice! Lomography is really big here in NY! A lot of the "hipsters" have them. I see people with lomography camera's the all the time. Haven't seen many people with the horizon lomo's, but I've seen them for sale. I would like to try one out but they're kinda pricey, you'll have to let me borrow yours sometime Henry!
