Advice - Manual or Automatic
need some advice

I have been looking to buy a pull vehicle for one of my trucks and am not sure if I should go with automatic or manual transmission. I plan to start taking longer trips ont the road so I would like to know which one is recommended for long trips on rigid terrain. Any advice?

Re: Advice - Manual or Automatic
It depends on what you're after. A/T RVs is more helpful if you're going on really long trips and through rough terrains because you don't have to worry about multi-tasking like getting getting that right balance of the clutch, brake and gas during these times, which can be really tiring after a while. On the other hand, M/T are more fuel-efficient and can get more power.

For your requirements, I'd go for an A/T rather than an M/T. It doesn't require much leg work on your part getting all the power that you need. Not only will it be less stressful driving long distances. You are also able to focus more on those rigid and steep terrain.

Definitely an A/T. I'd prefer to go around in comfort.

Re: Advice - Manual or Automatic
I'd personally go for automatic, especially since you mentioned that you'll be taking a lot of long trips. It's relatively more convenient to drive since you don't have to consistently keep on mixing the clutch and the gas, which can be quite a hassle when you go through really rough terrain. The downside to automatic transmissions is that it tends to consume a whole lot more fuel than manual transmissions do.

Bottom line, it depends on what is important for you. If you are looking for comfort and ease when driving, go for the matic. If you're more concerned with fuel, go for the manual.
