I'd personally go for automatic, especially since you mentioned that you'll be taking a lot of long trips. It's relatively more convenient to drive since you don't have to consistently keep on mixing the clutch and the gas, which can be quite a hassle when you go through really rough terrain. The downside to automatic transmissions is that it tends to consume a whole lot more fuel than manual transmissions do.
Bottom line, it depends on what is important for you. If you are looking for comfort and ease when driving, go for the matic. If you're more concerned with fuel, go for the manual. |
