Black Tank Doesn't Drain Out
While we were getting our 5th Wheel ready for our upcoming trip, we noticed that the black tank won't drain out like it used to when we pull the valve level. Our 5th Wheel has got a black water, and a gray 1 and 2 in a compartment at the back of the main front hatch. When we pull the level, the indicator only goes to 1/3. There doesn't seem to be any discharging sound from the hose like we used to hear.

Would appreciate any help on this.

Re: Black Tank Doesn't Drain Out
It could be that there may be something that's blocking it like a piece of cloth or some tissue. Try checking it out first. If that doesn't work, try holding the toilet flush vale open while you drain it. Sometimes, the vent to the roof can also be blocked and the air cannot flow through it.

Re: Black Tank Doesn't Drain Out
I agree. It may be clogged right at the discharge point. Unfortunately, drowning it with solutions won't do much good. I've tried that in the past. What we found that worked was to fill the tank with water and then drive the trailer around for a bit. That way, the water would work around the clog. Then try draining it.
