Storing Spare Tire
We own a 2009 Damon Challenger, and we'd usually keep our spare tire in one of its cargo areas. Personally, I'd much rather have that space to be used for something else other than the spare tire. My husband and I have been trying to figure out where else we can stash it. We found a couple of steel beams right underneath our unit. It looks wide enough to have some kind of bracket attached to it for the spare tire. Any suggestions, or is this location even a good idea to store our spare tire?

Re: Storing Spare Tire
Personally, I'd go for it. Get a durable velcro or zipper tire bag so that you can protect your spare tire from all the debris and dirt. Get someone to fabricate a cradle for your spare tire so that it stays in place through all the bumps and bouncing about while traveling.

We usually cover our spare tire with a vinyl bag and then stash it in the roof rack.

Re: Storing Spare Tire
From years of being on the road, If you need the tire, how are you going to get it in and out of your "craddle"? The tire is very heavy and laying on your back will be a problem. They don't just sit in a craddle, they are bolted in also. The craddle is on a hing, the heavy tire is bolted in, you have to pick up the craddle and bolt that back in place. Not an easy thing to do.
