How Often Should You Do an Oil Change?
Now that camping season is here again for us, I'm wondering if we should go ahead and change the oil in our RV before starting out since we didn't really do that much camping last year. I'm telling my husband that we should, especially since it's been in the storage for quite a long time. He tells me that it's still fine. Which is which?

I have this rule of thumb to change the oil either every 5,000 kilometers or every other month, whichever comes first.

If you're using a synthetic oil in your RV, it won't require to be changed that frequent. Since this will be your first camping trip after it being in the storage for a while, I would suggest to have your RV brought to a service center and have a thorough check done on it. They would be in the best position to recommend if it is time for an oil change or not.

Re: How Often Should You Do an Oil Change?
Ford reccomends 5000, & since they're the one that has the warrenty, I'll go with that. Now, I know some people do it at a minimum of once a year, IF, it doesn't reach the 5000, nothing wrong with doing it too often, other than the expence.
