Laminate Floor Installation
Modified By pipercasey on 3/12/2014 6:58:18 PM)
I am going to install a thinner laminate floor. 5" by 48" panels. My question is: If this is to be a floating floor, do I bolt the two pedestal chairs back down on the laminate or leave them and cut a square around the pedestal base so all of the floor can move?

Re: Laminate Floor Installation
Excellent question and I too would like to know this. I also have questions about the slides, How do they match up with the main area once it is converted to laminate? It appears someone put carpet under the slide to avoid scratching. Then there is will this effect the Alaska package on this 5th wheel? What about the hidden compartments in the floor of the bedroom? I just don't want to be dealing with cleaning a carpet. I am not an RV'r yet but I have just purchased this used 2001 and will eventually living in it full time. Not by choice but by circumstance. I would like to trade the queen (I think) bed with a twin and have the extra room. I would like to replace the couch with my queen hida couch but until I get it here to do some measuring I am not sure this is doable. I want to take the table out. It is bolted in so I am, not sure how easy removing this and/or the couch will be. May have to just live with a lot of it as it is. I am, also, wondering if I should put down the under liner for the laminate. I am thinking, yes, just for the added warmth if nothing else. Any suggestions and/or thoughts would be wonderful. Old single Grandma here.
