RV with Low Mileage --- Good or Bad?
My friend who is shopping around for either a Class B or Class C told me that she found something a used unit that's got a pretty low mileage. She told me that it was a 2000 model but the mileage is less than 10K. When she told me this, it immediately set off warning bells in my head. I told her that it might not be a good idea because the mileage is way too low. Am I right?

Definitely! Having a very low mileage would mean that it's not been driven around too much so there is always a bigger chance that there are going to be a lot of things there that will need to be repaired and replaced. Worst part is that the reason it's not driven is because it's always conking up.

Yes. I couldn't imagine a model that old with that low of a mileage unless it's got a whole lot of problems.

I'd steer clear of it, even if they say that they haven't really used it that much. Depreciation, in my opinion, seems to happen faster when it stays parked in one place for a very long period of time.

I'd go with everyone else here. Wouldn't mind if the model is at least a 2010 or 2011 one with that low of a mileage. But considering it's a 2000 model, it's quite iffy. Perhaps that's why it's being priced so low that it looks like a great deal.
