Have You Tried Camping Abroad?
There are a lot of talk here about camping in different parts of the US, but I wonder if anyone has ever tried camping in another country? I'll be heading over to England early next year to attend the wedding of a good friend of mine. I was thinking of doing a bit of camping while I'm there, just to give it a try. Is it just the same as camping here in the US? Anything that I need to do other than always have my passport with me all the time?

Re: Have You Tried Camping Abroad?
I'd imagine it's going to be pretty much the same as camping here in the US. Since it's more up north than here, I'd imagine it's going to be really cold there whatever time of the year. So make sure that you bring a lot of your gear to help you keep warm during the night.

Re: Have You Tried Camping Abroad?
It depends on the type of camping you're planning to do while you're there. England drives on the 'wrong' side of the road, so unless you're used to driving here, I'd suggest opt for the tent camping instead. I'm not sure if you can use a certified true copy of your travel documents while you're traveling. That way, you have some back ups in case that your documents get lost along the way.

I'm with harold. Haven't really tried it, but would definitely love to do that someday. Hopefully when we're able to save enough money.
