Making Meals Ahead of Time
When camping, making meals ahead of time can really save you a hassle. I have often found myself bemoaning the task of cleaning up after making and eating a meal. So one day I decided to make meals prior to my trip, and put them into a cooler. I made wraps and sandwiches. It made the camping experience very enjoyable; I was able to spend more time enjoying the company of my friends and family, and less time cleaning!

I love aluminium foil - wrap stuff, cook and eat. No washing involved.

Not much clean up involved either. Just throw the aluminum foil away, and you're all set!

I agree. I usually prep everything up the day before and pack them in their separate aluminum containers. That makes it not only easy to pick. The aluminum containers serve as my cooking pan and serving dish as well. It makes it a lot easier to clean, especially after a day of hiking and rafting.

The downside of this is that you don't get to try out the local fare. I usually pack food less than the usual amount whenever we go camping coz I usually spend a few days hunting or fishing when camping. Nothing taste better than enjoying something that you caught yourself.
