Re: Home Camping Anyone?
That's definitely a good suggestion. I do that every once in a while. Pack up a couple of stuff on Friday morning and then head out after work to the nearest campground.

Or another way is to do as a friend of mine used to do, get a site at the local CG (on the lake) for 2 weeks, then while wife & kids are enjoying themselves, dad goes to work everyday from the CG. Just like going to work every day, only you return home to the CG after work.

Great suggestion, bukhrn. The only problem I'd probably have with that is actually having the willpower to go to work and not think of how much fun that my wife and kids are having while I'm stuck in my office.

We actually tried it one time, but it didn't work out. Even though the campground wasn't that far from work, the idea of leaving to go back to work and missing a whole day of fun was enough for me to end up calling in for a leave. Hahahaha!!
