I've heard some horror stories like that as well. Quite frankly, I don't get their point of having an age limit on the RVs that stay in their campground apart from just being a for show thing.

Re: Turned Away by Campgrounds?
A friend of mine tried staying at the Port Susan Camping Club in WA a few summers back and was turned away by the management. They told him that it's not really about the age of the trailer he was bringing, but the condition since they said that his trailer had the potential of becoming an eyesore in their club.

Never been turned away at a State Park, National Forest, National Park, COE, or BLM

Re: Turned Away by Campgrounds?
I think that these things happen more often in private campgrounds than in state parks or national parks. If ever they do, chances are it's because they are already full and they got no more space.

I agree. From what I know, the private campgrounds that have an age limit on the RVs that they allow are supposed to be for the sake of the RVers camping there and also their campground. They are under the impression that the older the RV looks, the more likely that you'll be doing some repairs in the RV campground that may make it look like an eyesore to the other RVers there.
